Hi everybody! My name is Dilnoza. I was born in 1988 in Dushanbe, Tadjikistan. In 1998 we moved to Tashkent in Uzbekistan. I graduated from the Tashkent State Economic University. I have bachelor degree. I can speak 3 languages, Tadjik, Russian and Uzbek. Now i study English. My parents have 3 daughters, I was the youngest. Their name’s is Munisa, Nigora, and I (Dilnoza) and I have a nephew. His name is Bexruz, he is 4, 5 years old. I often go to my hometown to visit relatives. I like to play bowling with friends, walk around the city, shopping, listening to music, dancing. To the end, I can say ... I love having fun. :)

Week 7: A wedding in Uzbekistan!

This is my sister wedding. I want to show you how we celebrated wedding in Uzbekistan. In first video bride and groom went to restaurant, and musician is playing our traditional "Karnay Surnay". They play music on the pipes.




In the middle they cut the wedding cake and feed each other. But here my father say feed me too. :)





This food is pilaf, the bridegroom presses his hand on the pilaf and feeds his friend with his hand.



This is my grandfather. Some old person should wish good things. The name is "Duo"




This is after 2 days. All the people assembled to see the new bride. "Kelin Salom"

This is really interesting, everybody had fun, danced a lot. I was supposed to arrive to Seattle in April, but I refused to go because I do not want to miss this event. My father said "Ok, if you do not want to go in April, you can go in June", so i missed my spring semester.
